Market Leader in Data Recovery Further Extends Disaster Recovery Solution
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Jan. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Further automating its disaster recovery solution for enterprise customers, VERITAS Software Corporation (Nasdaq: VRTS) today announced it has completed the acquisition of The Kernel Group Incorporated (TKG), a privately held software company based in Austin, Texas, for an undisclosed amount. TKG is the developer of Bare Metal Restore(TM), the industry's first solution to fully automate system recovery of Windows and all major UNIX platforms in the event of data corruption or hardware failure.
