Acquisition extends Internet Threat Management’s best of breed technology and Perimeter’s superior platform to clients
Trumbull, CT- October 26, 2003 - Perimeter Internetworking, a leading provider of managed network and security services for community financial institutions, announced their acquisition of Internet Threat Management Technology, LLC, (ITM) an Internet security company specializing in protecting corporate networks from threatening Internet attacks.
The acquisition allows the two companies to unite their expertise in Internet security technology services to create a broader spectrum of services for clients. Perimeter and ITM will continue to exist as separate brands. However, ITM’s best of breed intrusion detection technologies ThreatSmart and ThreatTrends, will be leveraged across Perimeter’s client base. Similarly, many of Perimeter’s services including Virus Defense services, web and email filtering and reporting services will be leveraged to ITM’s customer base.
