Deal Accelerates Experio's Drive Toward Growth Targets and Strengthens Existing Enterprise Technology Solutions (ETS) Practice With Addition of 100 Employees
DALLAS, July 9, 2001 - Experio Solutions, a $100-million Dallas-based business and information technology consulting firm and a Hitachi, Ltd. company, today announced it will accelerate its growth plans by acquiring Los Angeles-based WaveBend Solutions.
WaveBend, the former consulting arm of BDO Seidman LLP, had annual revenues in 2000 of more than $30 million, with expertise in designing and implementing a variety of e-business solutions.
With the acquisition effective mid July, Experio Solutions plans to further expand its national IT consultancy footprint, with offices in 18 U.S. cities including new locations in Los Angeles and Detroit. WaveBend brings particular expertise in enterprise and e-business technology applications such as BEA Systems, IBM WebSphere and Rational Software, which provide complementary skill-sets for Experio's lines of business. Experio Solutions' growth and its acquisition of WaveBend results in an increase in its employee base from 400 in 2000 to 680 currently.
Experio Acquires WaveBend/add one
"Experio's acquisition of WaveBend brings us leading-edge management and consulting skills, complementary skills in key industries like automotive and aerospace, and allows us to extend our geographic reach in key areas like California and the Midwest and build on our strength on the East Coast," Experio president Chuck Scoville said. "Part of the Hitachi plan is accelerating our strategy to become a $1-billion company within the next five years."
Experio concentrates its efforts on consulting with mid-sized to Global 1000 companies and designs solutions for the following: strategic services, enterprise technology solutions (ETS), customer relationship management (CRM), supply chain management (SCM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP).
Hitachi announced in November 2000 that it had acquired the former e-business consulting group of Grant Thornton LLP and incorporated it as a new company, Experio Solutions.
